Babylon is in the House

Yesterday morning, the Direct TV guys came to our house. Last night, we skipped through the commercials and qualifiers and watched the part of the olympics that we wanted. Conrad is now watching Playhouse Disney.

For those who don't follow the drama of the Mountain West Conference, MWC football games can only be broadcast on one specific channel. No ESPN, no BYUtv, only CST (is that the right one, Bryan?). Not even the internet (which was a loop hole 2 years ago)! And here, only Direct TV carries the right channel. From bunny ears to all the sports package with all the bells and whistles.

What we won't do for BYU Football.

We have ours too. But it is taking a little while for us to figure out how to work this DVR (Big A accidently erased an episode of Spiderman). Enjoy all those movie channels- I know we are.

welcome to the world of technology. When we were first married, no cable for us but now it is not even a question when we moved--DVR is my most favorite thing. My kids don't understand when we are at other people's house why they can't just turn on the Blue's Clues that we have at our house! They have even learned that when it goes to the menu page after the show, they have to turn off the tv...

We finally got Tivo almost a year ago because we were sick of missing stuff and sick of watching the crap that was on when we were ready to sit down. Then there was the writers' strike and all we could record was crap. It was a sad spring. Now we are anxiously awaiting the fall line-up.

My husband is begging to get the channel we need to watch BYU football. Your husband must have a more convincing argument or maybe you are a big fan of football too. For some reason I don't enjoy being a "single" parent when a football game is on, and I have to be honest, he loves all football games college to pro. I am sure some day I will agree.
