I felt bad about the whole cake thing, (turns out the cake I'd made was yucky--teaches me to check the date on the carrot cake mix before baking it) so the next night, I baked some brownies and stuck some candles in it. "Just until the football cake" was acceptable, and this kid loves candles and the Happy Birthday song. So, Con got his birthday two days in a row.
Four years old is a special birthday--one he'll remember. Why not celebrate it all week long?

Love the brownies. You don't do Rainbow cake? Now that is what my boys ask for.
He is going to celebrate again when he gets his present from us. I expect a celebratory dance for it.
